Hey, friend, Thanks for expressing interest in working with me through spiritual direction. I’m reviewing your form and will get back to you in the next 1-2 business days. Until then, here are some frequently asked questions around spiritual direction. WHAT IS SPIRITUAL DIRECTION, EXACTLY? Simply put, it is the practice of recognizing God’s presence and movement in your world, and responding to that. We learn to listen to God together, to seek Him, to discover where He is at. WHAT DOES WRITTEN SPIRITUAL DIRECTION LOOK LIKE? We’ll send messages back and forth like emails. I’ll prompt you with some questions, and respond to what you share. It’s kind of like writing in a journal that you then share with me. HOW MANY MESSAGES DO WE SEND IN A MONTH? It depends. You get to set the pace of our correspondence. We can send longer messages every week or so, or shorter messages back and forth every few days. IS SPIRITUAL DIRECITON CONFIDENTIAL? Yep. I consider our conversations a sacred space and I wouldn’t dare share what we talk about unless I am required to by law. WHY DO PEOPLE SEEK SPIRITUAL DIRECTION? The reasons vary. Some are seeking to heal from past hurt or are working through grief. Others just want to grow closer to God. WHAT IF I’D RATHER DO VIDEO SESSIONS INSTEAD? Unfortunately, I don’t offer virtual sessions, but I know other spiritual directors who do, and would be happy to refer you to one of them. WHAT HAPPENS NOW? I’ll review your interest form and get back to you in 1-2 business days with any questions I have, or as well as answer any questions you might have for me. If you’re ready to move forward, I’ll send you our Spiritual Direction Agreement (which details when we are starting and ending, the cost, how we are communicating, and our commitment to each other) and Invoice. Then we’ll get started! In this spiritual direction and spiritual formation program, it is my desire to walk with you through this season. In other words, I bear testimony to the holy work you do as you draw near to the Lord. I do not hear God FOR you, but seek God together WITH you. I will offer prayer, journaling prompts, spiritual practices, companionship, etc., as I support you in your journey.(required)
A $100 down payment will be required when you schedule your initial spiritual direction call with me. The remainder of your payment will be invoiced to you via PayPal once we determine the specifics of your 12-week pathway.(required)
