Encouraging others can mean coming alongside someone as a friend, but it can also mean sharing your story or the message God has placed on your heart. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been encouraged by the words of others!
There are several ways I can offer personal support to you as you seek to encourage others. Review the options below and let me know how I can help.
1. Spiritual Companion
When you’re trying to encourage someone else or are in a ministry or caregiver position, it’s helpful to have someone support you as you support someone else. I’d love to help however I can.
Though I am trained as a life coach, this is simply me being a sister in Christ who wants to pray for you in your need. I’m here as a friend. And I’d love to email back and forth to see how I can come alongside you.
IS THIS FOR YOU? If you have a prayer request, concern, or issue that you are struggling with, I’d love to connect with you.
2. Public Speaking Mentor/Coach
Is God calling you to encourage others by sharing your story or speaking in front of others? Let me be a friendly guide to help you present in a way that is authentic for you.
My Master’s degree is in Professional Communication, with a concentration in Rhetoric and Leadership Communication. Plus, I taught college speaking classes for nearly a decade. I really enjoy helping others craft their presentations and be comfortable sharing what is on their heart! I can help you in any part of the process–from discerning your topic to writing your message to public speaking skills.
IS THIS FOR YOU? I work best with women who are (1) just starting out in public speaking and teaching or (2) who are introverts trying to figure out what such a public role looks like.
3. Proofreading and Editing Services
Maybe God is calling you to write your story or message instead, through a memoir, devotional, Bible study, or novel. In this way, He wants you to reach out and encourage others.
I’ve done a lot of writing and editing over the years: novels, devotionals, Bible studies, curriculum, and more. Being a freelance editor has introduced me to many individuals seeking to share their story with others, whether it’s a work of fiction or non-fiction. I’d love to see how I can help you throughout the process!
IS THIS FOR YOU? I work best with men and women who are (1) just starting out in writing or (2) who are a bit more versed in writing but looking for an extra set of eyes for feedback and suggestions.
What Others Say
“I loved working with Kari! She did everything she said she would and delivered on time, each time. I was concerned that I wouldn’t be able to find an editor for my book who would honor my personal style. She preserved my conversational style and let me word things the way I wanted to. Like ending a sentence with “to” or starting one with “Like.” My topic was aviation and I was so pleased that Kari looked carefully for words or phrases that non-pilots might not understand. This was really helpful. Kari never insisted that I make changes but just made suggestions that I could agree with or not. Of course she also corrected my typos and kept me consistent as well as pointing out that I repeated an anecdote a couple of times. I felt from the first communication that Kari was perfect for me. I’m glad to say that she was. I am pleased to give her the highest recommendation.“

“I have worked with Kari on a wide variety of projects, ranging from creating thought-provoking pieces for curriculum to crisp, informative brochure and web site copy. I am consistently impressed with her insights and the command she has of her craft. Her writing is clear, colorful and well-organized. Kari understands deadlines and has established a record of turning around projects well within the agreed upon timeline. She is also a gifted editor, pulling together the ideas from a rough piece of copy and turning into more effective communication. Kari delivers all of this with the confident, helpful attitude born of experience. I recommend her without reservation!”
