Job was a man known for the suffering he endured. In Job 16:20, we read, “…I pour out my tears to God.”

These beads are known as Job’s Tears beads and signify the tears we cry during different seasons in our lives:

– grief
– depression
– major life transitions
– cancer
– chronic illness
– miscarriage
– and more

They are called Job’s Tears because the outside of the seed resembles a teardrop, and can be a variety of neutral colors like gray, light blue, or light green.

These beads are a white/soft gray combination. There are 40 Job’s Tears beads in each strand, and they are accented by an ivory bead and a rosewood bead on each end, and tied off with a tan-colored tassel.

The natural colors are very grounding, calming, and relaxing.

Fun fact: the rosewood beads are from Laos, where a missionary family we know serves. We use these beads to remember them!

Ways to Use Them

These bead garlands can be used as prayer beads—something to hold while praying to give your fingers something to do.

You can also assign a prayer to each bead and work your way down your list: marriage, each child, work, volunteer commitments, community, nation, etc.

Kids, especially, might find it useful to have something to do with their hands as they pray to help them focus.

The bead garlands can also be used in decorating around your house, like regular wood bead garlands—just on a smaller scale. Perhaps around a candle or small picture frame.

They measure approximately 19” long, making them easy to hold and perfect for smaller decorated areas, like an end table or nightstand.
