Tear Bottle

$17.00

When a friend loses a loved one, discovers she has cancer, goes through a divorce, or miscarries a baby, the grief is real. It is deep. And there are likely going to be many times when the tears flow without ceasing.

Psalm 56:8 says, “You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book.”

This Tear Bottle serves as a tangible reminder of those truths. It’s simple, but also beautiful. Easy to hold. Easy to pass along to a friend going through a difficult time.

When a friend loses a loved one, discovers she has cancer, goes through a divorce, or miscarries a baby, the grief is real. It is deep. And there are likely going to be many times when the tears flow without ceasing.

There was a season in our home when the tears flowed, too. And that’s why I created this Tear Bottle. During that season, God reminded me of this verse:

“You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book” (Psalm 56:8).

My friend, when you grieve and mourn, please know that you are not alone. God sees your tears, He is with you when you are sad, and He will comfort you (Psalm 10:17).

And He will be with your friend in their heartache, too.

This Tear Bottle serves as a tangible reminder of those truths. It’s simple, but also beautiful. Easy to hold. Easy to pass along to a friend going through a difficult time.

The Tear Bottle is a meaningful sympathy gift; gift for someone battling cancer, chronic illness, depression, or anxiety; and gift for those going through a divorce, job loss, or difficult transition, like an unexpected move or job change.

God hears the cries of His people…

There are several instances in the Bible where we are told God heard the cries of His people.

  • God heard the cries of Hagar’s son and came to her in the desert (Genesis 16).
  • He heard the cries of the Israelites as they were slaves in Egypt and responded by sending Moses to rescue them (Exodus 3).
  • He was with Jeremiah as he wept for God’s people (Jeremiah 4).

Know that He hears your cries, too.

Jesus wept…

And though we are only told of one instance where Jesus wept (at the death of His friend Lazarus), I imagine there were probably tears when His own earthly father, Joseph, passed away. Or when His cousin, John the Baptist, was beheaded.

I imagine He had a few sorrowful nights thinking about the cross, or remembering all of the sick people, or seeing the hardness of some of the people’s hearts He had encountered that day. Are there other instances where you think He might have been sad or grieved?

God is with you when you are sad, just as He was with Jesus.
