Hey, my friends. Welcome back to Let’s Encourage One Another.
This is another bonus episode, where we tend to focus on spiritual practices and faith. And in today’s episode, I am sharing a message I gave a few weeks ago at my church.
As you can see from the title, this focuses on Ezekiel’s vision of the Valley of Dry Bones, and it piggybacks on what we are learning in the Soul Care Group this month. We are looking at this passage and we are exploring three different spiritual practices: the SOAP Bible study method, breath prayers, and art journaling. You can sit down and do these practices all at once (which would take an hour or an hour and a half), you can spread them throughout the month, or you can pick and choose which ones resonate the most with you. I leave it up to you to decide how to practice it, since you are the one who knows your schedule, your lifestyle, your personality the best.
If you want to join us there in the Soul Care Group, you can sign up at lovedoesthat.org/soulcaregroup.
Now, this recording isn’t of the best quality, but I didn’t want to try to re-record it because then we lose the live aspect of it. And while I feel I could still do a good job sitting here on my own in front of the mic sharing it with you, there’s just something about being in front of a live audience, you know? So it’s not the best, but honestly, it’s not all that bad.
However, if it bothers you too much, I understand. Just join us again for the next episode. But this was a really meaningful passage for me as I entered into it, and I know it will be for you, too. I leave in the pauses and the time of reflection at the end because I want you to experience it with us. I will end with a prayer, so you’ll know then that it’s over.
Now, before I spoke, our pianist sang the song “Dry Bones,” which was just a lot of fun and is a song the kids continue to ask for here at home. So I’ll link to that in the show notes below in case you want to listen. But know that’s what I’m referring to here as I start teaching.
As always, I love to hear from you all, so if there is anything that resonates with you from today’s episode, don’t hesitate to email me at kari@lovedoesthat.org. Remember, my name is spelled K-A-R-I.
Okay, so here is my message entitled “Dry Bones: A Resurrection Story.”
