Hey, my friends. Welcome back to Let’s Encourage One Another.
If I had to pick one author who has most deeply impacted me and taught me about life with God, I daresay it is Sharon Garlough Brown.
The way she is able to weave spiritual insight into a story format resonates with me, and I am able to connect not only with her characters but also connect more deeply with God.
And that is just one of many reasons why I am excited to share this conversation with you today. Sharon and I were able to talk about her books, but also about her own experience in spiritual direction and how God has led her to become a spiritual director, retreat leader, and author.
Her first series is called Sensible Shoes and her latest one is called Shades of Light. In fact, the newest book in that series is releasing now, and I have already received my copy and have been reading it and sitting with it. You guys, it is so incredibly good.
Sharon’s spirit is so gentle and wise, and she, like so many of my guests, shares parts of her story that are sacred and personal. I know you won’t take it lightly, but will honor it as holy and sacred.

You can do more than just read a Bible story; you can actually enter into the story itself and experience God.
And you don’t have to be a Bible scholar to do it.
In the Imagine devotional, you’ll dive into a different story in the Bible and get a taste of what a person’s life might have looked like as they encountered God through their specific circumstances.
