“Clarity comes from action.” That’s a catchphrase from coach Christa Hutchins.
In other words, you don’t always know what step to take until you take “the next step”—whatever that is.
That’s one thing I’ve learned here during the podcast break.
You may have heard that my friend Jen Kline and I are co-hosting a conference on this very thing: navigating a shift in your business or ministry.
Why am I so invested in this topic right now? Because it’s something I’ve been discerning on my own.
What does God want for Love Does That? What direction am I supposed to go in? And how does podcasting play a role in that, or does it?
I think I’ve got my answer—at least for a couple of those questions.
Does podcasting play a role in the future of Love Does That? Yes. At least for now. But it’s going to look a little different.
How do I know? Because clarity comes from action.
Let me explain.
I actually thought I’d be starting the podcast up again a week or so ago, but as I prepared for that, I felt unsettled in my stomach. Something wasn’t right. I realized that God hadn’t released me to start podcasting again—at least, not in the way I was planning.
But then I created a short reel for Instagram to help explain our upcoming conference, and as I thought more about it, I realized: I can do more of that.
I don’t necessarily have time or mental space to create longer episodes right now. And that’s okay. I can still share with you things that the Lord is sharing with me.
So what you’ll see here are short episodes focused on a single thought or idea, followed up with a journal prompt or two.
I don’t know about you, but there are times when I really need succinct, timely truth. Like a little pep talk in the middle of my week. Or an encouraging text message from a friend.
That’s what this is going to feel like. At least for a little while.
Journal Prompts
So what’s your journal prompt for today? Here it is: Where do you need clarity in your life? What feels murky and unclear? Write it down and see what God has to say about it.
And be sure to pay attention to what your next step might be, because that might bring the clarity you need.
Oh, and if you want to learn more about that conference I mentioned, just visit prayforyourbusiness.com. It takes place November 20, 2025—and Christa, who I mentioned at the beginning, will be one of our speakers. I can’t wait!

You can do more than just read a Bible story; you can actually enter into the story itself and experience God.
And you don’t have to be a Bible scholar to do it.
In the Imagine devotional, you’ll dive into a different story in the Bible and get a taste of what a person’s life might have looked like as they encountered God through their specific circumstances.
